Roya in Time

Project Description

The exhibition space invites us in with a recording of Roya reading an expert from her memoir The People with no Camel published in 2010 that tells the story of her family’s religious persecution as Baha’is living in Iran, and their eventual escape in 1981.

The portraits in this series were taken between January and April, 2015.

The video walls are meditative explorations on notions of the embodied homeland.
